A new Guest Casita and Garage Structure designed to complement an existing estate residence in Scottsdale.

Having previously completed the project with another firm, | SPIRAL ARCHITECTS | was tapped to design the structure to sensitively match the architecture of the original dwelling in terms of siting, massing, and sense of detail. The structure is seamlessly blended into existing curved retaining walls, clad entirely in mortar-washed stone, and features reclaimed beams, barnwood decking, and flooring materials. The structure is appointed with steel sash doors and windows throughout, and features antique French fireplaces in the sitting room and second-story private loggia.

The multi-car garage space features barrel-vaulted plaster ceilings, and doors featuring a bespoke motorized-hinge system to open in authentic “carriage-house” fashion.
